The PeacockBridge Street, Bakewell, Derbyshire DE45 1DS 01629 813635 A bar man got trapped in the cellar, even though there was no lock on the door and no way to block it. A ghostly figure has been seen in the doorway and beer taps have been turned on and off in the cellar. A maid in a dark skirt and white apron has been seen in holiday apartments, which were the old stables. Update 6/2/22: I inquired whether there had been any recent reports of ghosts and Graham Webb replied, "No ghosts - ever I'm afraid, as they don't exist!!!" |
