The Golden Fleece

The ghost is said to be "Cheeky Charlie", an alderman and landlord named Charles White; he turns beer taps on and off, reconnects old gas barrels and moves items around; the pub dog refuses to go upstairs too. CAMRA tells us that, "Being a very old pub, it has its share of ghosts. The scariest encounter happened to a barmaid in the 1990s. She was alone in the cellar when the door was bolted behind her. She was there for sometime and very relieved at being released."
