Update 2/9/20: Veronica Tomlinson replied to my email asking for reports of recent phenomena: "I have lived here alone for the past 7 years and on a previous occasion from 1998 to 2003 with my family. As much as I embellish some old stories occasionally for the effect, I personally have never felt anything of the nature you are talking about, but there again I do not believe and am probably not looking for anything. I have had people saying they sometimes feel a presence, but it is a pub where spirits are freely available so this is no surprise. The walls are 100's of years old and I have no doubt that some sort of energy remains, but I haven’t felt anything. The tales of past sightings and the gas being turned off in the cellar on a regular basis I know to be what people believe, but sadly not me."
