Landlady Mrs Robinson told a newspaper that she has only ever experienced manifestations downstairs but she has only ever felt "warm and comortable" during their time at the pub. Her sightings include people floating about and a dog running through the kitchen. Other sightings include, "a woman who was sitting at a table sipping port, another woman sat across from her constantly checking her watch and a worried man who had supposedly died before delivering a letter." When the vicar told the latter phantom that his delivery was complete, he ceased appearing. There have been other phenomena too: according to Mr Robinson; electricity being tripped off for no reason and the sound of your name being shouted out have also occurred. "Sometimes when I go behind the bar and I glance across the window, I can see a group of people there. Four or five people in long, black coats [wearing clothing from a different era]. Then you can look again and they've gone ... A friend of mine said she watched what she thought looked like a Jewish funeral in the garden."
