Ye Hole In Ye Wall

A shadowy figure has been seen in the bar here; it is said he may be a Spaniard who was killed here after refusing to be press-ganged. A figure in a long wax jacket has "often" been seen at the bar, too. A 2025 newspaper adds that, "This haunting spectre has often been confused for one of the regulars by staff, and even been spotted heading upstairs to the cellar. The ghostly sighting is reportedly an old sailor who wears a long wax coat. It was reported that spooky encounters include elastic bands flying across the bar, lights fusing while staff are working in the cellar..."

Update 2/3/22: The pub responded to my query asking about any observed phenomena that might have been reported: "not recently"
