The Old Original Inn

19 year old Eliza Jane Mackay is said to be the ghost here, a location that she frequented in life as, according to one account, she was a drunkard. She was drowned in a well at nearby New Inn Farm in 1906, where she had been a servant girl. When she died she was pregnant, leading to suspicion of foul play in her death. She might be responsible for a strange mist from the men's toilets in the 1970s, but there are hints that she may have been seen although sightings have dwindled in recent years.
