Ackhurst Hall

The ghost here is said to be 12 year old Annie Houghton, who lived in a nearby converted barn in the 19th century. She was murdered when an unknown man arrived at the hall asking for her father. When she said he was elsewhere, she was attacked and then he tried to murder Annie's 9 year old sister Katie. The murderer was never caught.
