The Finishers Arms

The ghost is nicknamed 'Martha' who was found drowned in the 1800s in a body of water after drinking here. She had been murdered. The ghost shows her discontent when there are changes in the pub, such as new owners taking over. Equipment is moved, glasses have flown off shelves, and loud banging has been heard on the floor above the bar even when it is empty. An exorcism was apparently attempted in the 1980s, unsuccessfully it would now seem. 'Martha' may have been seen, by a pub regular who said that he saw "a woman dressed in white 19th century clothing walk across the other side of the room and disappear through the wall."
