Astley Hall
Chorley, Lancashire PR7 1XA

Footsteps, laughter and music have been heard in this building - and the ghosts of a woman in Victorian dress and a little girl seen.
Update 28/6/22: Rory MacDonald, the Heritage and Cultural Development Officer replied to my query about any recent phenomena: "Until about 5 or 6 weeks ago, Astley Hall was closed for about two and a half years for a large renovation project where the whole building had protective equipment on everything. I was one of the few people here almost every day throughout the project as someone who would unlock and lock the site but to my knowledge there have been no reports whilst the renovations were ongoing. Apart from the odd faulty wiring or alarm issues brought on by outdated equipment there was nothing out of the ordinary. Sorry if it wasn’t the answer you were looking for but I know historically there have been plenty of people who have claimed to see things, in particular a lady in white near the Oak Bedroom upstairs, but as far as I’m aware nothing since we reopened or throughout the renovation project."
