Providence House

Once the home of the Barton on Humber library, a child's voice and a youngster crying were heard here. Fires and lights had been found turned on, fire doors open and revolving book cases spun by themselves. Activity seemed to increase between 28th and 31st October; when the building was an orphanage, six year old Sidney Conway died after falling into a scalding hot bath. The date of the accident was the 28th October 1922, and he died three days later. Whether these phenomena still occur is not known.
