Ship and Royal

The shape of a man has been observed in the cellar. The ghost is nicknamed "Charlie", although it is said that Former Lord of the Manor John Talbot Clifton, who liked a tipple in the hostelry, also haunts the building. It is not known which of these two is the "tall ghostly male" who also reportedly disturbed paperwork and played about with the telephone. Strange noises are blamed on a mother and daughter who committed suicide here in the 19th century.
