Mains Hall

There are many phantoms in residence here, including the ghost of Cardinal William Allen infests the building; he was a Catholic and used the hall to hide when his faith was no longer in favour. On top of the staircase, people have reported the sensation of someone bustling by and in the hall, a baby has been heard crying and the feeling of something small around one person's ankles and in additional, crying has been heard. Old stories mention phantom monks outside the building and a ghostly coach pulling up the driveway on dark, still nights. The reports of other paranormal behaviour is abundant!

Update 12/8/21: Asked on Facebook if anything had recently occurred at the Great Hall at Mains, I was told, "Sorry no!"
