The Black Swan
A number of phantoms are said to be sighted here. An "attractive, young, blonde female" has been observed staring at the fire; it is thought that she was a jilted bride. "Matthew", a small boy dressed in Victorian clothing is another ghost in the building. He is said to have been a pickpocket and may be responsible for items going missing behind the bar. A smartly dressed man wearing a bowler hat has been seated at the bar, where it is said that he is "impatiently" waiting for someone. The final spectre is to be found in the kitchen, which was built over the original stables yard. Wearing a long black coat and riding boots, he is thought to be a highwayman named "Jack" and has been heard singing Irish folk songs at night.
