The Black Swan

A young child has been heard here, and may be connected to the remains found in a chimney breast adjoining rooms 15 and 16. In the early 1990s, guest's sleep was disturbed as often as once a fortnight, with people hearing laughing, screaming or crying as if the child was having a tantrum; despite this, the phenomena was not said to be "frightening." People have reported the sensation of someone watching them, and a lady awoke to find her husband fighting an invisible something that was pinning him to the bed; he was not asleep or dreaming but could not afterwards say what had happened.
