Gosforth Hall

A crying baby and a "foul smell" have been reported on the staircase. A rocking chair rocks by itself and in room 11, a monk-like figure has been seen by the entrance to a priest hole, and a face has been reported peering through the window. In the bar area, tankards and glasses have been hurled around and an old man seen. The upper floors are adorned with beams obtained from wrecked ships and it is said that the anguished groans of shipwrecked and dying sailors have been heard. Additionally, the gas taps in the beer cellar across the yard have been found turned off, despite the building been locked.
