It is not known if phenomena still persist here, but when this was "The Three Horse Shoes" public house, there were stories of a phantom airman seen in the bar - the former RAF Usworth site is nearby. There have also stories of toilet doors being hammered upon, and burglar alarms spontaneously triggering.
