House of Dun

An "austere man", a "floating dress", a little girl skipping and a "White Lady" in a bedroom are the resident phantoms, in addition to unexplained noises, such as a crying baby, voices and a harp playing. Roaming the lanes nearby is a Headless Horseman. A visitor services assistant was checking the building at the end of the day when she heard a cough in the Red Bedroom; soon after she noticed the Tapestry Room door open and when she went to close, a dark figure darted across the room. The next door, a child in the tour had wandered off and he was found in the Tapestry Room. She said that a girl in a long dress had led him to the room and told him that she likes to leave the door open!
