Macdonald Pittodrie House
A room which was formerly a nursery is said to house a ghost, thought to be a servant who died after falling down the stairs during a fire. Footsteps, cries and screams, the smell of burning are all reported, all said to be centred on the staircase. Once a year, apparently on Hallowe'en, a servant girl with "flame hair" is said to throw herself down the stairs. Additionally, a ghost is said to be seen in the library and a spectral carriage pulled by a single horse has reportedly been seen traversing the driveway.
Update 24/1/22: Andrew Tighe, the General Manager informs me, "There have been numerous accounts of incidents in the hotel, especially during lockdown when the staff were staying in the hotel."
