The Royal Oak

One night, a figure was seen in the doorway of a witness's room whom she mistook for the landlady who was convalescing after a recent operation; the landlady was sure it wasn't her. One of the bedrooms has a "horrific" feeling and a few people tried to sleep in there, but only lasted a few hours; a visitor was stayed the whole night woke to see a woman standing over them, and again she mistakenly thought it was the landlady. The ghostly figure most often seen is "a lady wearing Victorian style dress." The dress seems to be made of a heavy material, and is usually of a dark colour, with a bonnet. She moves in a staggering fashion, as if drunk or ill and is seen all over the pub and even in the garden. Someone walking barefoot has also heard, again sounding as if it is of someone walking in an unsteady fashion.
