Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel

A "strange old cart" has been seen in the car park by people walking on the path behind the hotel but those in the car park itself cannot see it! A shuffling, or dragging noise has also been heard inside the new wing, which was built in 1989 on the site of a graveyard. A night porter heard cries of "No" coming from a storeroom, but there was no obvious cause for the sound, which faded away.
