Brewhouse and Kitchen

The ghost of a murdered servant girl haunts this pub. She was married to a sailor but during one of his long excursions at sea she had an affair with a local tradesman. Her husband returned one day and hearing the rumours, confronted his wife and slit her throat during the resulting quarrel. She is said to haunt the area of the grand fireplace, where she fell down dead.
