Salisbury Station

South Western Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire SP2 7RS

The ladies waiting room was used as a temporary morgue when a train derailed in 1906 at a high speed, killing a total of 28 people. Since then, people have experienced cold spots in the waiting room.

Update 29/7/26: Emma, who runs the Weird Wiltshire site told Bluesky that she was chatting to one of the guards and he said, "This place has A LOT going on. One story is that of a fireman, one of the tragic deaths in the 1906 Salisbury Train Disaster which killed 28. Apparently, when the guards are here late at night, alone, if they head up above the concourse, they do hear footsteps. Following that, the fire alarm goes off, sounding out the ghostly warning. This is just one of the ghosts of Salisbury Station!
