The ghost of smuggler Dover Bill, who informed on his colleagues and whose health deteriorated due to remorse until he died, haunts his old local, where he has been seen but it is not clear if he has been seen recently. There is also said to be a phantom coach and horses that rattles by the pub and heads towards the church.
