The Angel Hotel

A man has been seen walking through the closed door of a bedroom, where he stops to look out of the window and go back to the door. Moving furniture and kitchen items, a maid hearing her name called out, and footsteps (and possibly another spectral man?) have also been experienced here too. A military looking ghost in rooms 1 and 2 has been identified as Louis Napoleon (son of the famous Emperor) who lived here in the 1870s; in room 1, actor Roger Moore saw a white, misty figure that floated through the door to his bedside; a maid leaving a bible open at the 23rd Psalm dissuaded the phantom from further visitations; later renovations of the building meant that the wardrobe in this room was disposed of - and the military ghost has not apparently been seen since. A spectral nun, accompanied by the smell of lavender has also been seen on the first floor landing; she has also been seen drifting down the stairs into the restaurant. In the main lounge, an old man has sometimes been seen seated by the fireplace, and a spectral butler observed in one of the front bedrooms. Additionally, there is also a report of a small tabby cat that appeared from nowhere!
