King John's Hunting LodgeAxbridge Town Hall, The Square, Axbridge, Somerset BS26 2AR The ghost of a lady in Elizabethan dress has been seen here, sitting in the Mayoral Chair which dates from a later period. A spectral tabby cat has also been observed, usually on the first floor where it walks through a closed door, curls up and vanishes. Update 10/5/22: I asked about any recent phenomena at the Hunting Lodge and Alan Wells replied, "As with almost every building that is over 500 years old there are old tales of ghosts. However, having consulted a number of the long-standing Trustees associated with King John’s Hunting Lodge, I can confirm that there have been no reports of any strange activity in the last twenty years."
