The Dolphin

82-84 Uphill Way, Uphill, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset BS23 4TN

A child has been seen running across the seating area by the toilets, and a growling and banging has been heard coming from the bar while the proprietors were upstairs, but nothing was found upon investigation. Additionally, glasses have exploded, wine glasses rattle and fly off the racks and the gas taps in the cellar are turned off on a regular basis. The owner's five year old son has found an imaginary friend in "Little Timmy" who follows him around the pub - perhaps a ghost? Research has indicated that the building has had a troubled and varied past; there was a fire here in 1860, and it used to be a refuge for smugglers. The body of a man who committed suicide was found on Uphill Beach and his body was brought here.
