Glebe Farm

A tiny memorial cross in the entranceway to the farm is inscribed "A.H.O Watts 12 May 1879"; in that year 14 year old Alfred Henry Watts was helping a cart driver ferrying sacks of wheat to the train station when the horses were startled by a gunshot and in their panic, the cart overturned, crushing him and he died a few hours later. A figure seen in 1956 in this area is theorised to be Watts' father; the man, wearing a long brown coat was seen with his back to the cross and was partially blocking the road. A passing car sounded its horn and then the figure vanished. The farm itself has had reports of the sound of young boys singing "a high pitched, jaunty melody."
