The Grotto

A white transparent lady has been seen on the staircase, as has a flimsy figure near the site of an old tennis court, who made her way to the Thames. She has been identified as Lady Fane, who lived her until she died in 1792. A nearby old gardner's cottage a door handle was seen to turn, with no one on the other side, and a clock fell to the ground missing the witness. A "close abode" has a disconnected bell that rings, a bedroom door that opens by itself and footsteps heard.
