Millfield HouseSilver Street, Edmonton, Enfield, London N18 1PJ 0208 807 6680 A little girl in a pinafore is said to walk this house; she is thought to be an orphan - in the mid 19th century, children who found themselves here were the subject of physical and sexual abuse, and food destined for them stolen by staff. Update: 18/8/20 Rajay Williams, the Business Development and Programme Supervisor for the theatre informs me, "We did have a sighting of a ghostly figure about 5/6 years ago by one of our members of staff during an night shift in Millfield house. During the shift my former colleague said he saw a ghost which looked like a young boy running up the stairs near the back of the house. However, since then there hasn’t been any recent odd or inexplicable phenomena." |
