Swansea Grand TheatreSingleton Street, Swansea SA1 3QJ 01792 475715 A ghost nicknamed "Jenny" haunts this theatre, and her presence is heralded by smell of lavender, which fills the auditorium. She may be Adelina Patti, who opened the Grand, or an unknown woman lost on the Titanic. It is unclear if she has ever been seen, but a security guard saw a woman in white moving down a corridor. There are other incidents here; an unexplained gust of chilly wind that went from one end of "mosh pit" to the other was experienced in the late 1970s during a performance. And on another occasion, pulleys in the wings started moving in unison causing sets to wobble. There was no explanation for this. |
