The Ivy House

London Road, Chalfont Saint Giles, Buckinghamshire HP8 4RS
01494 872184

This building was used to stable the horses and house the carriages used to take the prisoners from the nearby Chequers to be executed. A young stable boy perished when he was run over by horses when he tripped in the stables and he is still seen in the upstairs rooms where the servants quarters used to be; "old fashioned" tobacco smoke has been detected here too. Footsteps and cold spots have also been reported too. On another occasion, a member of staff going down the stairs felt a shove from behind!
