Woodchester Mansion

Various strange noises and figures have been seen here; glowing writing was also seen on a wall once and various locations at the Mansion are said to have paranormal residues. There are said to be as many as 16 ghosts in the surrounding area; a monk is said to have gone skating on the thin ice of the lake and drowned, and his phantom has been seen in the area. Phantom coaches and horsemen, a floating coffin on a lake, a spectral dog, a "slightly built man" in the entrance to the chapel, two Romans (one of them decapitated) and two World War 2 airmen who died when the area was used for training have also been reported.
