The George III

Things are said to go missing and then turn up in "strange places"; additionally, ornaments break, machines switch on and off, doors open and close and shelves have collapsed. Meanwhile, in the cellar, the sound of barrels being moved has been heard but upon investigation, nothing is out of place; the pub's dog refuses to go down there. There is a story that a young man was thrown into a well in the cellar as part of "a drunken prank" but when he was unable to clamber out, he drowned.
