Wadham College

It is said that phantom monks haunt this college, which was built on the site of an Augustinian Friary. One sighting in 1960 was presaged by a feeling of being chilled and a whisper telling the porter to look in the certain direction of the doorway of the chapel, where he saw a white cowled monk (described as "a little cloudy") that headed up to the dining room before vanishing. A grey monk and footsteps have also been described too.
