Nutmeg and Thyme at No31

When this was the old grammar school tuck shop, a disembodied hand came up through a window seat, gave "a little twirl" and then disappeared. The seat was above the cellar and one witness thought that someone down there was playing a trick - but a search below found no-one present. The cottage next door in Church Lane has/had similar spectral visitation; a gloved hand once appeared through the wall next to the window seat, although there is some confusion as to whether this actually referred to the tuck shop and not the residence. These phenomena would seem to be somewhat old and it is not known if there have been any recurrences lately or if the original sighting was a "one off."
