Warren Farm Gate

Near the entrance gate to this farm an airman, said to be American, has been seen wearing a parachute harness and a flying helment. Some say he is seated, as if waiting for a lift, and others say that he rises before "melting away." He is thought to be a pilot who died when his aircraft crashed while trying to land at nearby Sawbridgeworth airfield in 1944.
