During refurbishment work, the new owners noted "Lights began switching themselves on and off, [and] glasses on the top of the bar started flipping upside down overnight." A former resident said that one of the ghosts is known as "The Green Lady" and it is thought that she may be an old barmaid. It is said that, recently, activity has been noted in the upstairs room and "visitors have reported seeing figures, and feelings of 'intense cold, dizziness and strange vibes'" in that area.
