Passenham Manor House

The unpopular 17th century landlord Sir Robert Bannister fell from his horse and broke his neck, his steed dragging his body along the road. On dark and stormy nights this gruesome scene is said to be replayed as the horse heads towards the manor house and then the churchyard. "Wicked Bobby Bannister" is also said to drive a ghostly carriage around the village.
