The Thomas Wolsey

9-13 St Peter's Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 1XF

A spectral girl, monk and a cat in the cellar are the resident phantoms here.

Researcher Greg Hardman visited this pub on June 3rd 2024 and had a chat with a few of the staff; one of them reported being touched on the back upstairs but there was no-one there. The head staff member was in the main bar looking for a Guinness pump attachment which was usually behind the bar in a glass but unable to find it she went upstairs to look for a replacement. She was unsuccessful and as she went back down to the bar it rolled down the stairs after her. People have reported seeing a young boy in the courtyard and also a man seemingly sitting in a desk in one of the 1st floor rooms; this is thought to relate to the time that the room was an office in the building's former guise as an old antique shop.
