The Old Black Lion

A 2017 Tripadvisor review says, "I stayed here in July for a night ... At about 2.30am I was woken by some loud banging and it seemed as if someone was moving about in another room (It was very windy out, but it did seem to be coming from indoors). These noises continued intermittently for about an hour and then I fell back to sleep. In the morning there was only one place set for breakfast and it transpired I was the only guest. I was told no staff had been there at that time... I asked if it was the 'ghost' and was told it may have been. But it was a friendly ghost."
From the reaction of the staff it would seem that this was not the first incident that had been experienced here!
