Wodka Live Bar (Closed)

In a previous incarnation, the bar was known for its phantom cat, a cold spot (which unnerved the manager's pet dog) and a flying bottle. A former manager had a dog that would not go near the exit door, where a cold spot had been detected.
Author Ruth Roper Wylde has unearthed the following accounts; A 1997 refurbishment revealed a number of skeletons, possibly of Saxon origin from a cemetery and which were removed; they probably came from a church that was beneath the current church, which is located opposite the pub. Some people think that this spurred paranormal activity in the pub, called "The Bull Nosed Bat" at the time but phenomena continued even after the name changed. Dogs were afraid to venture near a certain spot, a beer bottle went flying, lights switched back on just as the staff left the pub at night, there was the sight of a man in a robe in the peripheral vision and a ghostly cat which was also possibly caught on CCTV. Other phenomena include noises that would be heard in the kitchen after it had closed for the night, a woman heard screaming, the taps turning on overnight causing flooding, staff feeling a tap on the shoulder, and doors opening and closing - but all was quiet in the accommodation in the storeys above the bar.
