Ruins of St Mary's Church

Phantom monks have been seen lurking in the trees, and organ music and a bell tolling have been heard here. The organ music is related to a local legend, involving two brothers, who was a well liked church regular and organist, and the other was a vagabond. The two had a quarrel and the miscreant killed his brother - whereupon the organ used to play by itself at night. The vicar tried to exorcise the spirit and went to the bridge where the murder took place with three candles - two of which went out and the third flared up indicating that the ghost had been laid. However, the music still continued to be played but "the pain has gone out of it."
