The ShipSt James Street, Dunwich, Saxmundham, Suffolk IP17 3DT 01728 648219 When this was called "The Barne Arms Hotel," one of the sons of the owner in 1969/70 awoke to find a grey woman seated on his bed in his attic bedroom. The ghost rose, turned and walked through the wall beside his bed. Later on, c. 1998 and after the hotel had been sold, the witnesses's brother visited his old home and was surprised to find that another room had been unearthed next to the "haunted room." This new room had initially been noted when the new owners realised that there was an extra window in the attic. When the wall was taken down, a doorway was revealed which led to an empty room - a doorway that the ghost had walked through. The ghost has been seen at least once since then and recent reports indicate that the phantom is called "The White [sic?] Lady" and nicknamed "Suki."
