The Lion Hotel

A "Grey Lady" has been seen in this inn, and her perfume detected too. It is said that she may have the victim of an accident when a horse and coach pulled into the archway, not noticing that she was there. A crying baby was heard on one occasion, and was the sound was found to be coming from a 3rd floor corridor, but the location could not be ascertained. A guest also complained that his bed was shaken and he heard heavy noises (like furniture being moved) in the room next to his, No.3. But there was no-one booked in that room that night. A manageress also noted the chain to a bell was swinging as if someone was tugging it - but the bell was making no sound at all. She also saw a dark shadow in the otherwise empty kitchens. There have also been reports of interference with electric equipment, too.

Update 22/7/22: The hotel responded to my Facebook query for any recent phenomena: "I have lived at the lion for the previous three and a half years and have noticed absolutely nothing paranormal at all."
