Park Gate Inn

In 1999, the assistant manager was up late playing the new video game when he discerned a figure with blonde hair out of the corner of his eye. He decided to follow the movement and found the kitchen door still swinging as if someone had walked through it; the door was very heavy and wind could not have moved it. He found nothing and went back to his game, only to detect the smell of cooking. Another investigation in the kitchen revealed nothing again. He set the alarm and was going upstairs when he saw a figure on the landing- a "hazy" lady, aged about 30 and 5 feet tall and with blonde hair. She walked along the corridor but when the witness rushed to follow her, she had gone. Other strange things have occurred at the pub too, including a full bottle of whisky exploding in front of witnesses. More recently, the new licensee's dog refuses to go upstairs, and the card machine has been described as playing up. The landlord's son also said that, when he slept in the bedroom upstairs, people were leaning over him and "messing" with him. This was dismissed as the product of a childish imagination - but when the Relief Manager slept there, he reported the same thing too.
