Ghost entry for this location:

St Nicolas Place

81 The Green, King's Norton, Birmingham, West Midlands B38 8RS

Once a pub known as "The Saracen's Head", during the English Civil War, the queen consort Henrietta Maria of France stayed here, with her military entourage encamped nearby. However, an outbreak of influenza prevented Henrietta from contacting her troops directly, so she asked one of her servant girls to convey messages back and forth. Although Henrietta avoided contracting the virus, the servant became ill and died in one of the upper bedrooms. Her phantom is said to haunt the building.
