Coton Hall Gates

A ghost wearing 19th century garb and astride a striking white horse had been seen in the lane leading from Alveley to Coton Hall. He was given the horse as a Christmas present but one day it was found without him in the lane; the boy's body was soon found and he had suffered a broken neck and his forehead showed signs of having suffered a heavy blow. Although his death was attributed to a riding accident, it was speculated that he had been murdered.
