Wolverhampton Grand Theatre

The ghost of former manager Mr Percy J Purdey has been seen here (he was allowed to stay in a flat in the upper floors after he retired) and his phantom wanders around the building and then heads to the basement bar for a whisky after close of play. There is also a Grey Lady whose scent of lavender perfume has been detected in one of the boxes, where a "sudden chill" has also been felt. The sensation of being tapped, the sound of footsteps, figures appearing in doorways, and doors unlocking by themself have been noted while in the bar area objects, such as glasses and furniture, have moved by themselves.
