Cranworth Road

A ghostly man and dog have been seen walking in this vicinity; when alive, the man was accused of killing a farmer's prized sheep and was deported. He was eventually exonerated thanks to a deathbed confession but his family had deserted him when he returned home and he died of a broken heart. His faithful dog stood watch for his owner to return at the junction here and refused to eat, eventually pining until he died.
