Hope and Anchor

A ghost named "Benjy" is said to haunt this pub, and a sighting of him in the 1990s described him as an almost transparent, "thin-looking male." He has been heard whistling and occasionally slams doors. Most of the ghostly activity seems to have taken place on the staircase or behind the bar; indeed, the ghost was sometimes seen sitting in the bar at midnight.
